British Gas Business to Acquire BizzEnergy Customers
Centrica plc, through its British Gas Business division, announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire the customers of BizzEnergy Ltd for a cash consideration of £3.5 million after the privately-owned energy supplier was taken into administrative receivership. All of BizzEnergy's 40,000 electricity customers across SME and Corporate markets, transferred to British Gas Business under the deal, will maintain their existing contract terms and conditions.

Centrica Secures its First LNG Delivery into the UK from Qatar
Centrica, the owner of British Gas, announced that it is to import its first shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Qatar into the United Kingdom, as Britain's indigenous supplies continue to decline. The cargo was purchased from RasGas Company Limited (RasGas), the Qatari LNG producer, and will be delivered in November 2008. The cargo will be the UK's largest ever LNG delivery.

Centrica plc was recently ranked 26th on the Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies Ranking. The Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies Rankings, now in its seventh year, measures financial performance by examining each company's assets, revenue, profits, and return on invested capital.

British Gas New Energy to Acquire Semplice Energy
Centrica plc, through its British Gas New Energy division, announced that it has acquired the low carbon solutions company, Semplice Energy Ltd, a leading provider of clean technology solutions, for a total cash consideration of £1.5 million (including the repayment of debt). An initial consideration of £1.2 million has been paid on the acquisition with a further £0.3 million payable in two years, dependant on meeting specified criteria.

Centrica Gains Government Consent for Second Generation Offshore Wind Farm
Centrica plc, the parent company of British Gas, announced that its proposed 250 MW offshore wind farm project off the Lincolnshire coast has received official consent. The Lincs project would, subject to investment approval, be capable of supplying around 170,000 British Gas customers and delivering carbon dioxide savings of between 300,000 and 710,000 tonnes per year.

Centrica’s British Gas Business to Acquire BMSi
Centrica plc, through its British Gas Business division, announced that it has acquired Building Management System Integrators Ltd (BMSi) for a cash consideration of £7 million. The acquisition, which includes an additional earn-out mechanism of up to £3 million, will launch British Gas Business' entry into the UK's expanding business energy services market. BMSi is a UK leader in the installation and contract servicing of specialist building controls systems.

Centrica Agrees to Acquire Solar Technologies
Centrica plc, the parent company of British Gas, announced that it has acquired Solar Technologies Group Limited for £2.8 million in cash (including the repayment of debt). The acquisition will enable British Gas to install solar photovoltaic (PV) technology in the UK and will move closer to its goal of becoming the leading provider of low carbon energy services. Solar Technologies is one of the UK's leading installers of integrated solar PV and renewable energy technology solutions.
