Direct Energy Business Holds First Customer Advisory Board Event
As part of Direct Energy Business’ customer-focused approach, the company held its first Customer Advisory Board event in early November to provide an open yet intimate forum for representatives from a handful of companies to provide feedback and recommendations to senior management. Direct Energy Business expects to hold several regional customer events to gain feedback from all of our customers throughout 2009.

British Gas Wins Prestigious Green Apple Award for EE and Carbon Reduction
British Gas Business and Centrica, in partnership with facilities company Carillion, were awarded the prestigious “Green Apple” award for Environmental Best Practices in the Commercial Utilities Sector for cutting energy use by 10 percent in their United Kingdom offices. Green Apple awards are presented by The Green Organisation, an independent, non-political and non-profit environment group. The award is for the Energy and Carbon Reduction Campaign, which began in April 2007 with the aim of reducing energy consumption by 10 percent.
